Our Twin Cities market may finally be leveling out again.

What’s been happening in the Twin Cities metro market lately?

We’ve been seeing an increase in new listings over the past few weeks. Anoka County is up 12% month over month, while Sherburne County is up 8%, Wright County is up 5%, and Hennepin County is up 17%. That’s great news for buyers. We’re starting to see the market level out a bit, and that may be due to more inventory for buyers to choose from.

“We’ll likely see prices continue to increase throughout 2021, but maybe not as aggressively as we’ve seen in the past few months.”

The median sale price has climbed in these counties as well. With the number of new listings on the rise, we may see numbers begin to stabilize too. You can see on the chart at 1:04 in the video above just how much average sale prices around the Twin Cities have increased in the past year. We’ll likely see prices continue to increase throughout 2021, but maybe not as aggressively as we’ve seen in the past few months.

If you’re on the fence about selling, there’s still time to take advantage of not just increased home value, but also historically low interest rates, which provide incredible buying power. If you haven’t signed up for your free equity report from Homebot, which includes all your wealth-building tools, you can do so here. It’s interactive, and values can be updated as needed based on new features and updates you’ve made to your property.

We’re also seeing huge demand for lake properties. As people are still working from home both part time and full time, the need for a staycation is on the rise. We recently listed a lake home that had 30 showings and received 15 offers in the first two days on the market. As lake property specialists with a large coverage area, we’re able to help many clients buy and sell lake homes.
